When you have guests at home, nothing is as fine as receiving them with a home-made appetizer as a delicious Brie cheese with grapes in puff pastry.
Best of all is that it can be prepared in a few minutes with no stress or the need of a cooking class. Grapes give a sweet touch to the cheese, and it is just irresistible.
Ingredients
1 small Brie cheese
A cup of grapes with no seeds
1 teaspoon of finely chopped fresh thyme
½ teaspoon of finely chopped rosemary
1 defrosted puff sheet
1 beaten egg
Preparation
Heat the oven to 400ªF.
Cut the cheese in halves, in a horizontal way. Press the grapes onto the bottom half of the cheese and put the other half on, as if it were a sandwich.
Spread flour onto a surface, put on the puff sheet, and stretch it using a roller. Cut the puff sheet into two circles a bit bigger than the cheese size.
Using a cooking brush, paint with egg both puff circles and cheese. Cover the cheese with the puff and paint it with egg.
Bake for 20 minutes. Take the cheese out of the oven, cover it with aluminum foil without wrapping and bake 10 minutes more until it browns.
Get it out and let it rest for an hour before serving it.
