Fried Camembert

Fried Camembert is a crunchy appetizer that opens the way to a delicious and creamy flavor matching of cheese and jam in mouth. It’s easy, tasteful and cheap.

Ingredients

  • 1 Camembert cheese of 250-300 g.
  • Olive oil
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Flour
  • Raspberry jam

Preparation

  1. Cut the cheese into 8 triangular portions. Put the portions into flour, beaten egg and breadcrumbs, in this order.
  2. We can put the portions into egg and breadcrumbs again so that the cheese won’t melt too much into the frying pan.
  3. Heat the oil and fry the portions till they are toasted. Don’t leave it too much time in the frying pan, 1 or 2 minutes each portion.
  4. Put portions onto cooking paper in order to absorb the extra oil.
  5. Serve on a plate with raspberry jam in the centre.

You can use jam of any other flavor.

For more precaution, besides double breading, you can put cheese in the fridge for it not to leak when being fried.

Always serve it hot.
