This recipe with Neufchâtel cheese is easy to prepare and very tasteful, ideal for a romantic dinner or to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Taking advantage of the original heart-shape this cheese has, with some bread given the same shape we get a very authentic tasteful sandwich.
Ingredients
4 slices of bread
2 spoonfuls of caramelized onion
1 Neufchâtel cheese
Butter
Salt and pepper
Preparation
Cut the slices of bread in a heart-shape.
Cut the Neufchâtel cheese into halves (following its heart shape).
Put the cheese onto the slice of bread and cover with caramelized onion or onion jam, and give it a touch of salt and pepper.
Cover with another slice of bread and unction both exterior sides of the slices of bread with butter.
In a frying pan with some oil, fry it for approximately 1 minute each side till it gets brown and the cheese melts.
If bread browns too quickly and the cheese is not enough melted, low heat and put a cover. Heat it for some seconds, low heat. Accompany with a salad of assorted green leaves.
